Science Program
Guided by cutting-edge science, the EIP drives decision-making and measures success. Through applied research and monitoring, we work with land managers to advance research, inform projects, and ensure lasting environmental improvements across the basin.
Stewardship Program
The Stewardship Program empowers residents and visitors to care for Tahoe’s environment through education and engagement. By promoting responsible recreation, sustainable travel, and the use of technology, it inspires a culture of shared stewardship that protects the region for generations to come.

Our stewardship program engages scientists, tribal members, and local community members to collect data on the ground, share discoveries, and inform future action. We are working with the Tahoe Science Advisory Council to share what we learn with partners and policymakers to guide smart investments in Tahoe’s future.
